A Dream Realized…
Our first Open House and Block Party at the new Facility
Ten (plus) years in the making and worth every second.
On a bright and buzzing day in Paterson, SOLID Foundation Youth Outreach opened its doors and spilled into the streets to celebrate a milestone that was once only a dream. Our Open House and Block Party wasn’t just an event it was a celebration. A manifestation of grit, grace, and community.
Executive Director Steve Wolfe, who has carried the vision of this space for over a decade, stood proudly among friends, city leaders, skaters, kids, and longtime supporters as that dream became reality.
The day was a full sensory experience:
🎨 Live muralists transformed blank walls into vibrant art.
🎶 Local music kept the vibes high.
🛹 Skateboard demonstrations showcased the passion and talent that fuels our mission.
🍔 Food and community tours gave guests a taste—literally and figuratively—of what SOLID stands for.
👟 Youth, skaters, families, and neighbors flowed through our facility, many seeing it for the first time.
We were especially honored by the presence of Mayor Andre Sayegh, Paterson city council members, and pillars of our local community. Their support, along with that of our dedicated team, volunteers, and donors, made this moment possible.
This wasn’t just a block party. It was the top of the funnel: the wide welcome mat into the deeper work we do every day - mentoring youth, building resilience, and creating a safe, creative space where everyone is welcome and every skater can push toward something bigger.
To all who joined us: thank you.
To those who have yet to visit: you’re always welcome.
We hope to see you here soon!
